Get Ready to be Inspired by the Digital World with Maxwell Ivey
Hello; My name is Maxwell Ivey, and I'm a totally blind business owner, blogger, sometimes podcaster, and newly self published author. My primary business is helping people sell new and used amusement equipment and related items. I started after the early death of my father lead to the closure of my family's small traveling carnival. While building that business, I had to learn many things including how to hand code html, start a blog, record videos, use social media including Pinterest, build an email list, recruit clients, write ad copy, generate email newsletters, and much more. I have also lost over 250 pounds after having gastric surgery along with eating healthier regular exercise and a positive attitude.
A little over a year ago my friends persuaded me that I had more to offer and should be sharing my story of inspiration. I disagreed, but they made the argument that there are far too many people in the world with no physical disability who are doing nothing with their lives. So, I relented and started a second website where I share my more personal stories about being a blind entrepreneur.
From that I wrote an ebook. It is a short motivational one called leading you out of the darkness into the light, a blind man's inspirational guide to success. In it I share the life lessons I've learned and offer 11 exercises for people to work through. I would be happy to send you a copy of the ebook if it would help decide about having me on the show or help prepare you for the interview.
I wanted my book to be different, so I included my email address and encourage the reader to write to me with their progress. I did this because we both know far too many people who have read the book, listened to the audio, watched the video, or even attended an expensive seminar; and they still weren't able to move forward.
I have done quite a few interviews for blogs and radio shows.
I should mention that I am working on my second book detailing my continuing journey to good health and how physical well being is critical to success in any other aspect of your life.
I have finished recording the audio files for an online course to show people how to use radio and podcast interviews to promote themselves and build their brands.
